Question     research project
Dotted Line

I am a final year honours student at Glasgow University, currently working a piece of coursework relating to one of my course: Accounting and business ethics. I am putting together a project regarding Britain's debt crisis and perhaps thinking of doing a case study on Egg regarding what type of customer they are selecting to give credit to, etc due to the recent news publicity. One of the areas I would like to concentrate on is 'who is responsible for this social problem in the UK' and look at credit loaning companies from an ethical point of view. I would greatly appreciate if you could let me know any information, opinions, articles etc you may have regarding this subject. I will look forward to hearing from you, Best wishes Kathleen Maclennan

Having fought a test case based on The Consumer Credit Act (1974), and  where I was advised by my headmaster at Grammar School to become a barrister (sadly I knew better - I bacame a Principal Lecturer with ICL) I eventually  found myself, 20 years later, fighting Natwest over undocumented credit agreements - a legal test case scenario - see www.ruinedbynatwest.com for details.

Good luck with it all - it's necessary work !
