A bit of extra pocket money is great!

Online surveys are one of the easiest ways to make some extra money on the internet and they don’t take much effort at all. You simply spend roughly 20 minutes answering questions. My favourites are about holidays and alcohol advertising. Basically they want to gauge what advertising has caught your eye for which brands. Once you’re done the points go into your account and you can swap them for vouchers or cash. Emails for surveys come into my account every couple of days but you have to get in there fast to do them because once they get the right sample the survey closes.

I’ve been doing surveys for over six months now, signed up to several different sites. The best ones so far that I’ve found are Lightspeed Panel and Toluna. I have 1420 points with Lightspeed that I can currently change into a £10 HMV voucher, a £10 Amazon voucher, or with another 40 points I’m eligible for WHSmith, House of Fraser, Marks & Spencer, Harvey Nichols, Argos and Selfridges £10 vouchers. What a deal!

My Toluna account is great because not only can you wait for emails for surveys with big points, but you can do mini-surveys on the homepage at 15 points a pop! I currently have 61,890 points which can be converted into a £12 HMV voucher, £10 Sainsbury's voucher, a £10 voucher for Chareauonline or bonus Airmiles with Lufthansa Miles.

It's great that I can treat myself to a new CD that isn't a waste of my hard earned cash!

Just thought I'd add this extra bit of information.

If you don't already know about Survey Police, get onto their website to have a look at how users are working with the top online survey companies. They are all rated and users leave comments about how they find each site - how much they get (points/cash), how often surveys are sent, what the screening process is like.

The great thing is that you too can contribute your opinions here to help others find the best places to go. If you have any big problems with survey companies, the survey police are also there to help you resolve those problems, so check them out here.

Just remember, some of their sites aren't mentioned on Moneymagpie because they are American and you are not going to get the value out of them with the current exchange rates - in other words for every $1 you are earning, you're only going to get 50p.
