I need to get a carful of my stuff from London to the North. Does anyone know the cheapest way to do this or any one (a man with a van) you would recommend? Thanks

Try Gumtree

Hi there How about putting an ad on Gumtree (www.gumtree.com)? I've seen people advertising on there for some company on their trips up and down the country. Maybe they'd consider taking your things for a small fee? The best thing about the site is that the ads are free.

Gumtree seems a great resource, but how do they make their money if the ads are free?

Well they charge people to post job ads and I the other ads just bring in traffic. But then there are also obvious paid-for ads in the free sections too. Clever idea - and it looks so basic too!
