I am already involved in a network and earning a bit. Smile Does anyone have any experience of worthwhile "based at home" opportunities that actually have a reasonable return? Idea Do they all involve being out every night in all weathers collecting and delivering catalogues and products.

Hi, i hated the the thought of walking the streets delivering catalogues etc, do you have a spare room in your house, if you do, you can make rather a lot of cash taking in foreign students, i take 3, i have one double bed and bunk beds! it really has worked for me, i have managed to pay off about £4,000 of my debt by doing this. but i have to say, i have spent many a night sleeping on the sofa as i gave up my bedroom! Check out your neighbourhood, and i am sure you will find an International English School close by, its a litlle slow now as the season has finished really, but if you get in contact with the schools i am sure they will be able to find you some students! Hope this is of some help to you, please let me know how you get on. kind regards L

If you can't put up students but you have a small spare room or safe dry attic, then often people need a place to store their personal stuff! Students over the summer, workers when they are off on attachment or even people between accommodation. There are already professional storage depots but they tend to offer only large containers - for big items such as furniture. Take professional advice on any contract you draw up*, check the insurance (and possibly also what is stored...) * ie how long do you agree to keep their things if they don't come back...

I have been in network marketing for the past two years. I have two small children and it fits perfectly into my life. It isnt for everyone though! I researched a lot into company I was going to join, I decided I didnt want to do direct selling like avon etc as taking out my children out to deliver and collect cattalogues wasn't for me. The company I am working with can sell their product direct to the customer, all I do is introduce them. I don't have stock to store and No cattalogues. I basically sell lottery tickets, simple eh? Well actually I intorduce people to a lottery syndicate and they play with others, its can be done via the internt or offline so is very flexible like that. you dont need to handle any money the company itself takes care of it all. You are given a website of your own to promote if you wish and offline marketing tools like DVD's flyers etc. If anyone would like more info please pm me or visit www.bizmum.co.uk to get a free info dvd or visit the site direct www.v-w-d.com/28793 I promote the product online via email etc and I talk to people when I am going about my daily business, people at the checkout, I leave business cards everywhere I go, all really simple stuff. Network marketing and MLM can have a bad reputation but to be a success you need to commit time and effort as if you are starting a business from scratch the efforts you put in you will get back. I took me a while to get my feet but Im going from strength to strength and the comapny i'm with are supportive and look after their affiliates giving as much help as possible. My best piece of advice to anyone looking at network marketing and mlm is to research the company and actually like what you are selling, i helps.

I've been happily working with a party plan network marketing company for two and a half years now and fit it entirely around my young family. I enjoy going to the parties and meet some lovely people. The products in my case are wonderful and everyone loves them. I'm sure the same can be said for other companies too so find one marketing things you love.

I find I need a car to take my products to parties; an internet connection at home so that I don't have to make regular visits to the local library; and a bank account with a credit or debit card to make my orders and receive my bonus's.

My retail commission is immediate so I have money as soon as I walk away from a party which is an added bonus. I then get further payments based on sales volume during the following month but there are no targets so the total can be just what I make it. If these things are important to you then make sure you ask the company how and when you get paid. Of course, to get residual income you will be interested in recruiting and the value of this varies from company to company too.

I've got so much out of working this way. I've got myself back after have two babies; I get to work around my little ones and be a stay at home mum; I am developing myself all the time and love helping other people; I earn what I'm prepared to work for; and I have the opportunity for financial freedom.

This type of work could well be for you and doesn't involve traipsing around in the cold and the wet. If you have questions you think I could help with then please just mail me at drruthwilliams@netscape.net

Good luck with your choices.

Hello, I have got involved with a company called Cafe Press,  the idea is that you set up a shop, upload photos or designs or slogans and place them on products such as t-shirts, mugs, calender, greetings cards etc.  Then market your shop, the shopfront is cutomizable, cafepress deal with all the printing, delivery, money stuff etc and you get on with designing products.  I am a photographer, so I have lots of images.  So, if you are a bit handy with design, or a camera, it may be worth a try.  This is my shop: http://www.cafepress.com/siwiakphoto Check it out and let me know what you think, some feedback would be great!  I only set it up a few weeks ago, so it's early days yet! Has anybody else got a cafepress shop? Siwiakphoto http://www.irenasiwiakphoto.co.uk

Perhaps a little late looking at the age of these posts, but I can offer a useful perspective here in case it's of any interest to anyone considering the benefits of network marketing as a money making opportunity. My experiences go back nearly 20 years to when I was involved with a company called Amway - an interesting experience, but no real money made. Sometime after this, I tried my hand at a number of other network marketing opportunities, including: Kleeneze and NSA.

Around 4-5 years ago, I stumbled upon the opportunity that would change everything and that was The Utility Warehouse. This is a phenomenal opportunity and whilst not a get rich scheme, it can lead to significant secondary or main income streams that are residual and permanent. Some distributors are earning more that £50k per month with this Company!

Well worth a look: www.BusinessOpportunityPlus.co.uk & www.wiaa.co.uk

I have been doing Utility Warehouse for a couple of months now and it is fantastic.  A good company and growing.  I may be a bit late answering this but the time may be right for you.  Have a look at my website www.goodhomebizforu.co.uk or www.savecashonyourbills.com

All the best
