Using the messageboards: general guidelines
|
The Moneymagpie messageboards are a place for polite and friendly discussion on anything and everything that could make your life richer. Here are some basic guidelines for happy posting.
- Don’t present your opinions as facts. Tell us what you think, and why you think it.
- Back up what you say. Give reasons for why you think something.
- Don’t insult other posters.
- Don’t be rude.
- Don’t call names.
- Don’t make things personal – challenge the post rather than the person.
- Don’t post something totally random. Try to stick with the topic.
- If you want to talk about something different, go to a different thread.
- Don’t write in capitals – NOT ONLY IS IT HARD TO READ, IT LOOKS LIKE YOU’RE SHOUTING. See what we mean?
- Don’t copy and paste stuff from elsewhere on the web - it's likely to be a breach of someone's copyright.
- Don't make racist, libellous, offensive or sexually explicit posts.
- Don't post spam or adverts for products, services or anything else.
- Only post direct links - affiliate links are not to be used.
- Report any posts that breach these guidelines by clicking the Report this post button at the top of the messageboards home page.
- See also our Frequently Asked Questions page for more information.
- Read the Terms and Conditions (opens in new window) - and stick to them.
