Jasmine's biog lists her qualities as follows: Finance journalist, expert, author, comedian - tall, leggy and blonde, smart and engaging with a great personality, a good ear and a keen sense of humour. Then again, if all "experts" were like that, afternoon television might actually be worth watching. As a TV presenter specialising in business and personal finance, Jasmine presented "The Insider" documentary on debt for Channel 4, she co-presented BBC 1’s “Homes Under the Hammer”, ITV Scotland’s “Spend Spend Spend” as well as “First Time Buyers” and “Doctor Dosh” for UKTV Style. She often appears as a financial expert on BBC News 24 and Sky News as well as regular stints on the sofa of The Wright Stuff and GMTV. As a financial journalist she writes for the Independent on Sunday, The Independent, The Express, ivillage, AOL Money, The Observer, Essentials Magazine, and many others. She is a regular pundit on BBC Radio 4 and Five Live, and an always-amusing talking head on magazine, current affairs and comedy programmes such as “Quote Unquote” and “Off the Page”. She is also the author of 36 books, a mix of humorous and financial titles, including the best seller “A Little Book of Abuse”, A Girl’s Best Friend is her Money”, “A Bit on the Side, 500 Ways to Boost your Income” Jasmine’s latest book is “The Money Book: Control Your Money Control Your Life”. Finally, as a speaker, MC and corporate presenter, Jasmine has hosted conferences and entertained audiences for a wide variety of companies, including Silverjet, BT, IBM, Ernst and Young, Barclays Stockbrokers, Sainsbury’s, Egg and Abbey National. So much for the CV, because from April 2007 Jasmine turns her attention to birds. Magpies in fact. Moneymagpie.com is a new website for people who need real solutions to some of life’s most common (but solvable!) problems. Combining in-depth knowledge of business and personal finance with straight talking advice and tips – her goal is to prove that, with the right advice, anyone can turn their financial fortunes around…and maybe even have fun doing it!
