Patience you must have, my young padawan.
Do you know the difference between an X-Wing and a Naboo Starfighter?
Have you always dreamed about taking up Yoda’s mantel and teaching your own group of padawans the ways of the force?
Well, now you can do just that AND get paid for it. Really!
Get paid to train jedi
Online services marketplace Bark has launched the UK’s first professional Jedi Knight training service, and they need trainers! This is not a drill.
What skills do i need?
You don’t need to own a lightsaber. But you will need to:
- Identify as a member of the Jedi religion
- Have martial arts training
- Be a Star Wars super fan (obviously)
- Know the location of the Millennium Falcon
We’re kidding about that last point. But apart from that, this really isn’t a joke.
What will I teach?
Jedi training sessions will cover four main subjects; physical conditioning, basic Jedi history, mental strength, and lightsaber practice. Being a Jedi Master is no easy task and you will genuinely have to be a skilled martial artist to apply. You will also be offering stand-alone lightsaber training, which focuses solely on the fighting aspect of Jedi training.
How much money can I make?
It’s expected that one-on-one sessions will start at around £150 per person, with group training at £100 per person for up to six people, however prices are subject to availability and you will have the option to set your own fee.
For stand-alone lightsaber training, classes will be taught in groups of no more than eight people, with prices starting at £45pp for one hour. That’s more money than Yoda made from training Luke…
is this really happening?
Yes! Bark has launched this new service to coincide with the release of “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” which hits cinemas on May 25th. The website has employed the help of Star Wars enthusiasts from around the world to create this comprehensive Jedi course. This is not a drill.
How do i sign up?
If you love Star Wars and are a skilled martial artist, you can register to become a Jedi trainer here.
