Getting up early each morning, getting ready, and then catching the train can be tiring, monotonous, and not very enjoyable. So what if you could make money from your couch in your pajamas?
And do it when you liked and not worry about a boss? Sounds fantastic, doesn’t it? Well, we think everyone deserves a try at this so we’ve come up with a few ways you can get started.
Start Up a Blog
If you see yourself as a great writer and can write about things that might interest others, you could try your hand at blog writing. Perhaps you have a particular interest you’d love to let everyone know about, or you just want to write about current events.
Whatever you fancy writing about, give it a go. It can start in your spare time, and then maybe lead to a full-time job that you can do from home. It’s worth a try; even if it’s just a hobby.
Ok, this one probably won’t turn into a big earner, but it’s something you are able to do in the evenings while watching your favorite soaps. There are plenty of places to answer questions and earn a few extra pennies if you just do a quick search on the web.
There are a few companies now that will pay you to test a website. If you get good at it, you can actually make a good sum of money. All you need is a computer and an internet connection, and you’re off.
Another excellent option for the writers out there. People will pay you to write anything for them from a news article to top tips on how to use something. If you have a lot of free time, you can earn more, and then you may even get other jobs from the experience.
Some sites out there post freelance jobs, which you could apply for. It’s a good idea to build up a portfolio to begin with, though, so that you can show the potential employer what you have to offer.
If you can speak a couple of languages, a lot of people will be willing to pay you for translating documents. Yes, to be an official translator you will need a qualification, but if you live in a non-English speaking country and someone wants a menu or website translated, they may well be willing to pay you a nice fee. This can turn into a full-time job if done well.
If your online couch endeavors boom, you may want to start thinking about starting your own small business. Again, your office can be from home, so you don’t need to worry about waking up early each day or getting in trouble with the boss.
Make sure you check into things like insurance and paying your taxes, so you don’t face problems in the long run. You can learn more here about the options available.
Sit Back and Get to Work
These are only a few ideas on how you could start your couch career. Do a bit of research online, and you’ll find lots of other ways to make money without having to shower and get ready for the office.
