Heads and Heads are brilliant. Sadly I found out about them, not via MM, if I had I would have joined them through you and got my Magpies! I cannot fault their training and education. One of the easier sites to learn from

Reading Time: 3 mins

For football fans, the return of the Premier League may in fact be the most exciting time of the year. Whilst your own personal opinion on the pleasure to be derived from watching millionaires run around for 90 minutes may vary, one thing is certain – it is really good news for matched bettors.

Much like rains returning to the African Savanna after a long drought, the return of football represents a significant increase in matched betting profits. There are all sorts of reasons why the start of the Premier League increases matched betting profits. The simplest of which is the sheer popularity and familiarity of the market, which makes it significantly easier to bet on. When this is combined by the comparatively slow-moving nature of football markets (when compared to Horse Racing), then you find profit increasing for both beginners and experienced matched bettors.

For anyone reading this and who is completely new to the concept of matched betting, and as a result thoroughly confused by everything that has been talked about thus far, allow me to provide some context. As, chances are, you are just here to learn how you can make money on the Premier League by matched betting.

Simply, you need to, in effect, both back and lay (ie, placing a bet on an outcome not to happen) a team for any one match, effectively therefore covering all potential outcomes – that a given team will win, and that a given team won’t win (this includes the draw because that is also the team ‘not winning’). Combined with certain offers that are promoted by bookmakers at this time of year, such a seemingly basic technique can generate you more money than you might think.

Let’s imagine, for example, that a bookmaker gives you a £50 free bet if you place a £50 bet with them. This would enable you to bet £50 on (for example) Chelsea to win a game, as well as to lay them (that is, bet on them not to win) for £50 via a betting exchange. It would mean that regardless of the outcome of the match, you would get your £50 back.

Once you’ve done that, you’ll be able to use your £50 free bet to back and lay again, and the cycle goes on. This is why the eve of the new Premier League season is the time to get into matched bets – the abundance of free bets that bookmakers offer at this time of year, designed to tempt you into signing up with them. Matched betting makes use of these free bets to generate a steady money stream.

If you are not new to matched betting and you were simply taking a break over the summer months, August really is the best time to return. If you were matched betting before the start of summer this year, you will know that the incredibly lucrative Bet365 2up offer was running last year for both the Premier League and the Championship. Now, there is no absolute guarantee this offer will return but the initial signs are very promising. We’d say there is around a 90% chance of this offer being available for this season, and, with it averaging around £150 profit per weekend for experienced members on Heads&Heads, it is definitely one to look out for.

In addition to 2Up, the return of football will also see the re-emergence of William Hill’s Golden Goal, which was a big hit among Heads&Heads members last season – in many cases it was the sole reason for members breaking the £1,000 profit per month barrier. The only downside here is that the amount of cash back from the Golden Goal offer has been reduced from £50 to £25. However, there is a new tiered system to go with the offer that could provide some extra value – more details to come on this one.

This is just two of the bookmakers, there will be plenty of other bookmaker offers. With a bit of luck we will see something new, from someone other than Bet365 and William Hill, that can help boost our monthly profits. All in all, a really exciting time to be getting into or back into matched betting.

So, why wait any longer to start earning during this year’s Premier League season? We can assure you it will be a profitable one regardless of whether you are football obsessed or completely indifferent.
