The Prize

MtSocks has created The Bitcoin Pizza Day sock to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Bitcoin Pizza Day on May 22nd! Bitcoin has many defining historical moments, including Bitcoin Pizza Day – the legendary day that the first known Bitcoin transaction for a consumer product was made. The pizza purchase became a milestone moment for Bitcoin adoption and is celebrated by Bitcoin enthusiasts every year since.

MtSocks is a product of UK Bitcoin exchange, CoinCorner, created with the aim of educating people about Bitcoin in a fun way with designs inspired by events in Bitcoin’s history.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • This competition is promoted by MoneyMagpie (“Promoter”).
  • Competition entry is only open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or older. No purchase necessary.
  • Prize is supplied by Mt Socks. 
  • The competition is not open to employees (and their families) of the Promoter MoneyMagpie or partner Mt Socks, their agents or related third parties who are directly connected with the administration of the competition.
  • The Promoter will not be responsible for lost or late competition entries.
  • The winner will be chosen at random by an independent judge and will be notified via email or telephone. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • By entering the competition you consent to being communicated to by the Promoter. Following such notification, the winner will be required to send the Promoter full details of their postal address to which the prize will be delivered (if applicable).
  • If the Promoter cannot: (a) contact the winner (via the details provided at the date of entry) within 5 working days or (b) the winner does not return details of its postal address to the Promoter within 14 days of notification that they have won the Prize, the Promoter reserves the right to re-draw a new winner until a winner on these terms is found.

what is bitcoin all about? is it safe? is it aa scam? how much do we really know about it. I mean how dose it get you rich? how do you transfer that richness into real usable money? has anyone got experience with this?

Bitcoin is a way of paying for things entirely digitally. Like any currency its value depends on how many people trust it. You can make money from it by buying some Bitcoin (or rather parts of Bitcoin, as a single Bitcoin is now worth a few thousand pounds) and hoping that the value in pounds (or dollars) of Bitcoin goes up. It’s a gamble but personally I think it will go up eventually.
