Hello
i'm having a rant today: a rant about cash. I'm a thorough-going city-dweller who can go from one end of the week to the next never touching cash, but I'm now making a point of using it as much as I can. Cash is anonymous. You can use it wherever you like and 'they' don't know what you've done with it. In a world of increasing surveillance and data-mining, anonymity is a very valuable quality and we need to protect
it.
So that's why I've written about how we need to use cash more, campaign for it, demand that shops and restaurants take it and generally protect the idea. Our Government, like many others, is looking at creating a totally-trackable, digital
currency to replace coins and notes. When that happens we will have no privacy at all. Are you happy about that? I'm not.

And speaking of cash, we have a FREE eBook on how to save more of yours plus news of a really good savings scheme for those on a low income. It's not new but it doesn't get much publicity so we thought we'd remind everyone about it.
Ooh, and speaking of currency, I was on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour last week talking about investing in cryptocurrencies. You can hear what I said here.
Have a lovely week and spend as much time as you can in the sunshine 😄😄
Love Jasmine

We're increasingly being told to move towards a totally cashless society.
That's wrong on so many levels!
Here's why I think we're being 'nudged' towards a digital-only currency, and why it's so important to resist a cashless society.
