How is everyone getting on since we last chatted? It's been a funny old summer, hasn't it. One thing I will say is try and keep your head happy and tune out of the negative deluge of information being thrust at us at the moment. Every single time I login to my news apps I have noticed a real change in tone. The world is
ending, we are all f****d and everyone is evil... tends to be the general vibe. My degree is in History and whilst everything is new to some extent, people have always faced huge trials. Every single generation has survived wars and hardships and many have still managed to live their life. Whilst we do evolve, we have always faced injustice and pain... and part of living any sort of life is learning to adapt and help others. Even the weather is scary at the moment due to global warming, every sniffle paralyses us with fear that we have a new mega virus. It can all be so isolating. We therefore ration our time spent looking at the news. Ironic for a news source, but we try always to find solutions to problems. We don't bury our head and pretend everything is hunky dory, we just choose not to crop-dust you all with paralysing fear
but to provide help or answers; to empower you. There are times that the powers-that-be really don't help us support you... in fact they make doing so very restrictive. But we will always try, and we care a huge amount about our readers. As I always say, there is a community here - comment on articles, email us, join us on socials - you will find many other people in the same situation and often that camaraderie is invaluable.

Is Big Charity the Con of the Century?
|
"I need to preface this article by setting something straight... I am in no way telling you not to give to
charity, give time to charity or do charitable work or things. I can see the headlines already “Jasmine Birtles HATES giving”, this is simply untrue. What I am getting utterly fed-up with is big charity’s misallocation of funds and innocent people wasting their hard-earned cash."
