Hello , I was watching an episode of Friends the other day. Monica had lost her job and needed some financial help, her Dad replied that she will be fine and will have to just dip into her savings. What savings!? He is referring to "the ten
percent of her paycheck that she should put in the bank every payday". Is this even still a thing? I was also raised with this discipline and can say that in recent years, ten percent has felt like a larger amount than it once did. It got me thinking: How much does the average MoneyMagpie reader put away each month? Is this even possible in the Cost Of Living Crisis? Please let me know. I had some really fantastic replies
to last week's newsletter and can say how important your replies were. I will be contacting those that did reply and asking if we can share some with other readers (no problem if not) as they really were enlightening. The 100 percent resounding vibe was that this Cost Of Living Crisis is in no way over and that we, as the consumer, are yet to feel any drop in inflation! I wish that was shocking. |
