So why not throw your hat in the ring? After all, someone has to win – and it could be you!
We are offering 5 readers £10 each. There are no strings attached at all. Simply comment on the article with what you would spend the tenner on, and then in four weeks, 5 people will be selected to win the money.
MoneyMagpie founder Jasmine Birtles said: “It really doesn’t feel much in the greater scheme of things, but if it helps a few people then we are more than happy to step in. We have had a record number of people writing in and asking us how to access quick cash, and in reality there aren’t many ways that are safe to the consumer. Therefore, we just wanted to offer them a chance. We are strongly against gambling so didn’t want our readers to go there, therefore it’s simply cash.’
We will get the money to you in the form of PayPal or an Amazon Voucher.
So, as stated above, for your chance to get your hands on a tenner, just answer ‘what would you spend an extra tenner on this month?’ in the comments below. The comments will close at midnight on January 30, 2025.
We will notify the winners on Feburary 1, 2025 in hope of making their winter that bit cosier.
Good luck. We look forward to hearing your answers.
I would spend it during a day out with family
I will buy something nice for my wife. She had a stroke 4 years ago and tires very easily and sleeps most of the day.
I would put it towards my credit card bill, ever penny counts!
I would give it to my great grandaughter who is coming up to 13, she is learning to ride and doing really well , show jumper here we come , it would go towards her riding lesson , she saves all her pocket money to fund her lessons and buy her riding clothes , such a turnaround from sitting on her computer for hours , so proud of how she is doing
I’m saving for a family holiday in Italy as we haven’t been away since 2019 (my youngest 3 have never been abroad. So I would put it towards my savings.
I would give the money to my daughter who is precious to me. Its her birthday in September too so it would be helpful.
We allow our son one takeaway a week and he usually chooses McDonald’s. With his extra bacon, upgraded drink and Ice cream it usually costs around £10 so I would spend it on his meal.
Iti’s my future sister-in-laws hen do at the end of the month so I would make sure to treat her to an extra cocktail to celebrate her special day
I would gift to my Grandson who is saving for trainers
I’d treat me and my daughter to a takeaway pizza, we haven’t had a treat together for ages.
