Earn £40k a year to travel the world as designer/stylist

We’ve scoured the internet and found another dream job for you. This one truly is a wonderful opportunity for any creative stylists and designers who fancy a globe-trotting adventure.

What’s the job?

A UK-based CEO is looking for a fashion designer and seamstress to travel with her across the world over the next 12 months, and is offering a £40k. You’ll be involved in designing and making outfits for the woman, for work and social events. The advert states that some months the designer will have to create 10 outfits, but others it may just be a few, with the designer focusing on styling the CEO’s current clothes.

What skills do I need?

Well obviously you’ll need to be able to design clothes. Plus you’ll need to know the latest fashion trends and how to make someone look, really, really, really good. You’ll need to create a tailor-made wardrobe for your boss as she travels. That means creating formal and casual outfits for the CEO’s meetings and social occasions, which can range from attending the horse racing in Dubai, to a dinner with her family.

The CEO says that she’s looking for someone young, but with at least five years of experience within fashion to fill the role, and says that she’s hugely passionate about fashion and has a unique sense of style that the right candidate must ‘channel’.

Salary and Perks

The job comes with a salary of around £40,000 and will involve travelling outside of the UK and Europe for ‘months at a time’, including Asia, North America, Australia and Europe. You’re basically getting paid to travel – something we all dream of.

The chosen designer will also be given 28 days holiday and full sick pay. You can source your own materials and all this will be paid for, so you have complete creative freedom to make you design ideas come to life. Additional perks include fine dining, exclusive access to prestigious events and the opportunity to see the world, obviously.

Where did we find this opportunity?

The request came through Sewport.com last week, after the CEO decided it was time to find a new designer, her old one was recently let go from the position. Sewport.com connects small to medium sized fashion brands with manufacturers, enabling them to create designs and garments from clothes to handbags, in an easy and cost-effective way.
