Iceland giving customers a year’s supply of chicken– here’s how to claim
Frozen supermarket Iceland has launched a new VIP card that allows people to get unlimited shopping for a whole year. Following in the footsteps of the popular chicken restaurant Nandos, this VIP ‘black card’ will give customers the ability to purchase one of 215 select frozen items for a full 365 days.
Just five of these cards will be hidden across stores in the UK. However, there is no indication of which stores these cards will be hidden in – so keep an eye out! These cards are named V.I.C – Very Important Chicks. If you find a V.I.C. card, show it to a member of staff to verify your win.
The initiative will be particularly helpful for households struggling with the ever-soaring price of food. Iceland said it particularly wants to celebrate mums. However, you don’t have to be a mum to find one, anyone can win.
The card can be used to purchase from a huge selection of frozen chicken products, fit for all the family. This includes mouth-watering choices from Iceland branded food, as well as special options from its partnerships, such as that of My Protein and TGIF.
On the Iceland social media pages, the company also encouraged its shoppers to nominate someone to win a V.I.C. card. If you know someone who deserves to win a card, head over to the Iceland Instagram page and tag them in the comments. The supermarket will announce the winner nominated via Instagram on May 23rd.
“Unlike other brands, our V.I.C card is created with mums in mind. We wanted to give back to the V.I.Cs who come to our stores for their weekly shop.
“As the home of many amazing partnerships and exclusives, all shoppers who visit us instore and online can make the most of the value we offer and pick from our varied range of frozen products to find something the whole family can enjoy.”
Happy hunting and good luck!
