MONEY GIVEAWAY: Get Your Hands on Some Free Money

Money Giveaway: The cost of living crisis is really getting people down now. With a record number of people taking on second jobs and people frantically googling ‘quick ways to make cash’, we at MoneyMagpie have again decided to put our hand in our pocket and offer some help to readers.

Last year we offered you all a chance to get your hands on a no strings attached free £5 and over 300 of you entered.

Therefore we are again offering 20 readers £5. There are no strings attached at all. Simply comment on the article with what you would spend the fiver on, and then in two weeks, 20 people will be selected to win the money.

MoneyMagpie founder Jasmine Birtles says: ‘It really doesn’t feel much in the greater scheme of things, but if it helps a few people then we are more than happy to step in. We have had a record number of people writing in and asking us how to access quick cash, and in reality there aren’t many ways that are safe to the consumer. Therefore we just wanted to offer them a chance. We are strongly against gambling so didn’t want our readers to go there, therefore it’s simply cash.’

So, as stated above, for your chance to get your hands on a fiver, just answer ‘what would you spend an extra fiver on this month?’ in the comments below. The comments will close at midnight on August 1, 2023.

We will notify the winners on August 2, 2023.

Good luck. We look forward to hearing your answers.

My son is a single Dad with two boys who have lost their Mum, I would give my £5.00 to my son so he could treat the boys to some nice sweeties or a big tub of ice cream and cones/marshmallows to put on top.

I care for my Dad and £ 5.00 is the extra a wheelchair taxi is charging to take him, and me, to his favourite restaurant. It doesn’t cover the whole fare or the return but since he hasn’t been for over 3 years, and 94 years of age is unlikely to go again, this would give him the impetus he needs to to ‘splash out’ on this rare outing.

I would stack an offer with Boots scan to recycle scheme and airtime rewards £1 bonus offer, if I can get one, and get over £11 of shopping in store for free 🙂

Instead of buying the majority of my food shopping from the basic, value ranges, I would be able to treat the family with a few of our old favourite brand products. Yum,yum.

Whilst shopping yesterday in a supermarket I picked up a small bunch of roses. Thought “mmm”.. £4-99…: put them back, better things nowadays to spend the money on. I now have an empty space and an empty vase … wished I’d bought them….. I’m sure you can guess what I’d spend the £5 on….
