An online luxury homeware brand has launched the world’s first Animal Crossing interior design service. The service allows players to hire a virtual consultant to help decorate their in-game home. It’s available to players worldwide.
Are you a professional or aspiring interior designer? If so, you should apply to be part of the collective of virtual consultants, where you can expect to earn upwards of £40/hour!
The consultancy service, created by luxury homeware brand Olivia’s, has been launched for players of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It is for players who dream of having the perfect in-game home but are unsure how to design their luxury retreat. Consultants will be able to lend their expertise for achieving harmony in the home while keeping within the player’s Bell budget (in-game currency).
On a day to day basis you’ll need to evaluate a client’s current set up and provide creative feedback. Also, you’ll need to provide clients with suggested setups that stay within their budget and explain the reasoning behind each of these choices. Finally, you must create multiple designs for each client should they desire a redesign in the future.

- A working knowledge of Animal Crossing: New Horizons is essential
- Strong communication skills are a must
- Confidence in remote working
- While not essential, previous experience in interior design is beneficial
Pay and Perks
According to the website you will get paid upwards of £40 an hour. However you will be able to set your own rates and work flexibly. This means remote working is of course a key perk.
Alongside this there is of course one other key perk that you might have figured out by now… You will get paid to play Animal Crossing.
