Money Giveaway: The cost of living crisis is really getting people down now. With a record number of people taking on second jobs and people frantically googling ‘quick ways to make cash’, we at MoneyMagpie have again decided to put our hand in our pocket and offer some help to readers.
Last year we offered you all a chance to get your hands on a no strings attached free £5 and over 300 of you entered.
Therefore we are again offering 20 readers £5. There are no strings attached at all. Simply comment on the article with what you would spend the fiver on, and then in two weeks, 20 people will be selected to win the money.

We have had a record number of people writing in and asking us how to access quick cash, and in reality there aren’t many ways that are safe to the consumer. Buy a McDonald’s – my son is convinced he is going to find the winning monopoly ticket
I would buy my dog some more of her special kidney diet food – at a cost of over £3.00 a tin, this would buy a tin and a half 🙂
The price of cat food has gone up phenomenally so my two cats rarely get treats anymore. They would like you to give me a fiver so that they can have a box of ‘Licky Licks’! Meow.
I’d go and visit my son at uni and buy him a huge chocolate milkshake!
I would spent it on my weekly groceries!
If I had £5 I would buy a £1.50 mystery wonky fruit and veg box from Lidl every week for a month. That would be enough fruit and veg for my whole family and I would only need to spend £1. You never know what’s going to be in the box but that makes it interesting because you then have to think of some recipes to use with the produce.
I would treat the two dear ladies (I walk their dogs for The Cinnamon Trust) to a delicious cream cake as they are both 93 years old, housebound, & live alone on just a pension.
I have just done my mums shopping as she is disabled and still shielding. A fiver would almost cover my petrol. It’s an hour each way for me to get there. You are kind though doing this.
