Seasonal Jobs: MoneyMagpie’s Guide to Jobs This Christmas

Seasonal Jobs. It’s that time of year when some of us hanker for a bit of extra money, but don’t quite know where to begin: either because you don’t know where the jobs are or there are just too many to decide on.

As of today (5 October) in London, employers have begun recruiting temporary workers to fill their Christmas season vacancies even earlier than last year, according to data released today by the online marketplace for flexible and temporary work, Indeed Flex.

There’s still plenty of time for jobseekers to start looking: last year the number of Christmas job postings didn’t peak until 10 November, with a similar surge expected this year.

Most of the Christmas temporary jobs listed on Indeed Flex so far are in hospitality, and also the numbers of warehouse and retail jobs are likely to ramp up rapidly as November’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday approach.

POST OFFICES

One thing is certain: Autumn and Christmas are a busy time for everyone, and there are more opportunities than ever if you fancy something different for a few weeks, to help towards your Christmas budget.

Post Offices need critical members of their team at this time of year to earn some extra money for Christmas, and they have plenty of great opportunities.

Working behind the scenes as a Post Office mail sorter, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable standing for long periods of time.

It’s an important, hands-on role, and will see you process mail arriving from all over the country and help ensure every parcel, letter, and present safely reaches the right destination, at the right time.

Interested? If there is nothing available in your location, visit Angard Staffing for other opportunities.
