Continuing our campaign to raise awareness about food waste. The Too Good to go App are offering some really good food available for cash-strapped consumers, Toby Carvery is one such place. Now offering ‘magic bags’ of discarded food, including roast dinner treats including Yorkshire puddings, meats and vegetables for less than £4.

Available at the end of the working day for purchase by anyone in need, Toby Carvery are providing the service instead of wastefully throwing away edible food, a practice that is particularly rife in the UK. The disparity between those who need the food and the waste being discarded every day is shocking, so this comes as a welcome attempt to redress the balance.

The magic bags are available now from 153 participating restaurants across the UK, available from the Too Good To Go App for £3.29 or £2.29 for a vegetarian option.

The service is first-come, first served, so users need to act fast and pay through the Too Good To Go app, receive their time slot before the restaurant closes, and make the trip pick up their food: a small price to pay for such a revelatory service. Toby Carvery has restaurants in Blackpool, Lytham and Morecambe.
