Best value if you don’t want to buy an adult main
Asda Café’s £1 children’s meal is a standout because an adult meal purchase is not required. Tesco Café is another excellent option: with a Clubcard and any adult café item, you can get a free qualifying children’s meal. Always check the café is participating.
Supermarket and in-store cafés
Tesco Café: kids eat free with Clubcard
One free qualifying children’s hot meal deal, breakfast or pick ‘n’ mix meal is available with any adult item bought in a participating Tesco Café. You need a Tesco Clubcard or the app, and the child must be present. The published promotion runs until 18 December 2026, including weekends. Meal choices differ between cafés. Check Tesco Café’s official terms and children’s menu.
Asda Café: kids eat for £1
Children aged 16 and under can eat for £1 at participating Asda Cafés, without an adult meal purchase. Asda says the offer runs until the end of 2026. See Asda’s participating cafés.
Morrisons Cafés: kids eat free
Get a free children’s meal with an adult main meal costing £5 or more at participating Morrisons Cafés. The deal is aimed at children under 16. Morrisons has previously promoted a £15 family combination, but check its current café promotions before assuming that additional saving is available.
Dunelm Pausa Cafés: kids eat free
Spend £5 at a participating Dunelm Pausa coffee shop and get a free children’s meal, comprising one kids’ main, one drink and two snacks. This is a useful option for a shopping-day lunch.
IKEA Restaurants: low-cost children’s meals
IKEA offers budget-friendly children’s meals, and IKEA Family members may be able to claim extra food and drink benefits. Prices and menus vary, so check the current IKEA restaurant menu rather than relying on an older 95p pasta price.
MoneyMagpie tip: check the total bill
A free children’s meal is not always the cheapest family option if it requires a costly adult main. Compare the total for everyone, check drink charges, and look for offers that allow one adult to bring two children.
Family-friendly pubs and carveries
Standout deal: Farmhouse Inns — TWO kids eat free
With one qualifying adult main, buffet breakfast or standard carvery, two children under 12 can get a free qualifying meal, including a scoop of ice cream. Read Farmhouse Inns’ official offer terms.
Toby Carvery: kids eat for £1
From 10 October to 1 November 2026, get a children’s main, carvery or all-you-can-eat breakfast for £1 with a qualifying adult meal. Claim your voucher before visiting through the Toby Carvery app or online Carvery Club account. See the published Toby Carvery offer and check your local branch.
