If you’re looking for more great freebies then websites like Gumtree and Freecycle have loads of adverts for free things – quite often they might need repairing or doing up, but you could find a real bargain.
6. Credit crunch weddings.
With the average UK wedding costing a staggering £20,000+, it’s no wonder that so many couples start married life together in debt.
June is a favourite month for weddings so if you’re getting married but you want to save money and still have the wedding of your dreams you must start planning early.
7. National Home Security month.
A nationwide initiative has been launched to encourage people to consider their home security and how to protect their possessions.
It’s also encouraging people to use their DIY skills to make their homes securer.
It’s a good time to consider house insurance in case the worst happens.

Although making a few quid here and there can be easy if you’re under 18, making money can be difficult without the advantages of work experience or other factors such as a driving licence.

15. Commute for less.
It’s an unavoidable fact of life that we have to work. That means we also have to get to work, and the commute can eat up a fair whack of our hard-earned cash.

17. Make cash from your driveway
If you don’t use your garage or driveway you could rent it out for money – particularly if you are in London or another parking-unfriendly city.
Just register with a site like JustPark, put your postcode in and wait for desperate would-be parkers to contact you.

The UK’s creative industries are now worth £71.4 billion per year to the UK economy.

19. Festival season is here

20. Grab a few freebies with mystery shopping
Mystery shopping is a fun way to earn some extra money while shopping, or testing services at local restaurants and pubs. Sounds like a dream job!
TNS is looking for new shoppers nationwide to assess a variety of different businesses such as shops and restaurants.
21. Switch your gas and electricity.
The utilities companies tend to put prices up at the beginning of the Autumn so fix yours now to avoid the rise.
It is true, seriously, that you could save yourself around £200 (depending on what your bills are like now) by switching to a different gas and electricity company…or just switching to a different plan with your current provider.
Find the ‘Kilowatthours’ you have used in the last year (it will be on your bills) and put that figure into one or two comparison sites to see which company will offer you a better price.
22. Make money on Twitter
OK, so just joining Twitter won’t make you a millionaire – but it is a fantastic, quick paced forum for picking up little extra jobs to make money on the side.
Try @extrapeopleltd who tweet ads for lookalikes and extras or go to TwitJobSearch, type in what work you want to do and see how many tweets pop up!
23. Make money travelling this summer
