Today is World Tourism Day! World Tourism Day has been celebrated since 1980, on the 27th September every year. This day was bought in by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation to raise awareness of the social, political, cultural and economic value of tourism. Tourism employs one in every ten people on Earth, making it a key part of the global economy.
