Get Paid to be a stormtrooper at new Star Wars theme park

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Everybody loves Star Wars right? Yes, it’s true they probably should’ve quit after the original trilogy, but be honest, who wouldn’t want to be a part of the Star Wars universe.

Well, now you can be a part of it.

Live your very own Star Wars dream, by becoming a stormtrooper (everybody loves a bad boy). That’s right you can step into the suit and make your Star Wars fantasies come to life AND get paid for it. Sadly you can’t be a Jedi, but hey, you can’t have it all.

The job

Disney Parks Live Entertainment is seeking energetic performers to bring to life some of the exciting characters from the Star Wars saga. Performers appear before thousands of guests each day in meet-and-greets while posing for pictures and helping to create magical moments with guests of all ages at the Disneyland Resort.

Seeking the following:

Stormtrooper: Individuals with heights 5’10” – 6’0″ with a slender to athletic build. Performers should be willing to demonstrate high energy levels, a full range of body movement, and imaginative improvisation. This role requires physical exertion and working in a full-body costume.

Requirements:

Must be available to work Friday Nights, Weekends, Holidays and Peak Operating Seasons
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Performers must be at least 18 years of age or a High School graduate c/o 2019
Current Disneyland Resort Cast Members must meet transfer guidelines and should bring a completed and approved transfer application

Salary

So there you have it, if you ever fancied joining the first order, now is your time. We’re not exactly sure how much you’ll get paid for your troubles, but we don’t expect an intergalactic wage. Nonetheless a lot of people would PAY to have the chance to pretend to be in the Star Wars universe so you can’t be too peeved.

This really does seem like a dream job. Although you could always just visit the park in costume and enjoy the new Star Wars world they’re building that way instead!

We hear demand for the new Galaxy’s Edge park at Disneyland will be so high that people will only be allowed to spend 4 hours there, but we’re sure that will change. We also hear there will be a Star Wars themed hotel. Right, better get booking then, whether we decide to become a stormtrooper or not!
